Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. As a youth work charity, we take our responsibility to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults extremely seriously.
We are committed to creating an environment where every young person feels safe, respected, valued and listened to. The welfare and safety of those we work with will always be our highest priority.
We have robust safeguarding policies and procedures in place, and all staff and volunteers are expected to understand and follow them. We ensure that appropriate safeguarding training, safer recruitment practices, supervision and ongoing support are provided to those working with children and young people.
We believe safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We encourage young people, parents, carers, staff, volunteers and partner organisations to speak up if they have a concern. All concerns are taken seriously, responded to promptly and handled appropriately, with the safety and wellbeing of the young person at the centre of our decision-making.
We are committed to continually reviewing and strengthening our safeguarding practice, learning from experience and ensuring that our work reflects current legislation, guidance and best practice.
We will never compromise on safeguarding. Protecting children and young people is not simply part of what we do — it is fundamental to who we are.
